Want to watch some television but you don’t know where to start, who to speak to nor who to trust ???????

The audio-visual home entertainment business is a huge mine-field, full of misleading advertising, so-called experts, unreliable service, and too many ‘cowboys’, out take your money, never to be seen again!

After having been here in southern spain for 17 years, we consider ourselves at Camposat Telecomunicaciones to be one of the longest established, most experienced and highly professional organisations in the business, 17 years and still around to say so, is quite an achievement.

Whatever you need, wherever you are in andalucia, we can help you out. fREE advise is cheaper then a bad, expensive mistake.

Sky digital has been available now for so many years that everybody should know what it is…

Reception of radio waves, from high above our heads, using a dish and a box of tricks, so that they are convirted to our tv screens for our entertainment.

The number of channels you are able to receive is only dependent on how much you contract and want to pay for.

Most people are more than happy watching the non-contracted, free to air channels, very similar to what is also called freeview, (which cannot be received here in southern Europe.) Any more means contracting from sky tv, a package tailored to your tastes.

But be careful that you don’t get fooled by some of the advertising offering ‘cheap’ free channels, because they are not so cheap in the long term due to high maintance costs of the equipment, plus you can never ‘upgrade’ should you decide in the future that you want to contract more channels.

The equipment we use is maintance free and has options to see more channels in the future, should you require.

Sky HD (high definition) is the latest way to watch tv with a super clear image as you’ve never seen before.

To achieve this is all you need, is a high definition television, now widely available, a sky hd box with a skycard contracted for the hd channels and time to watch sport, movies & documentaries, you won’t know where to start, to see the benefits........

With this in mind they have developed this system To work similar to sky+, record one channel whilst you watch another.

The system you’ll never regret installing.

Sky + (plus), what is this strange, often heard of creature?

It’s the way of avoiding those domestic arguments when there arises the conflict of two programs on two different channels, at the same time.
Which do you watch????

Well this is the system that overcomes that problem. It will allow you to watch one program, whilst the machine records the other for you, to view in your own time.
All very clever stuff!

But it doesn’t stop at that, it also has the ability to record the program you are watching so that when the phone rings or somebody calls at the door or you need to go to the loo or you just fancy going to the fridge for a drink. You simply pause at that moment and continue when you want to, at you’re your own leisure. Wonderful modern technology!!

‘Free to view’ what does it mean, what’s involved, what does it cost?

It consists of box which will receive the non-contracted channels transmitted by any satellite which the dish aims towards, whatever the language. (dish size very important)
There are many such channels freely available throughout europe, but the quality of many of these is very bad. Yet these receivers can be used to pick up the free english channels transmitted by sky.

Should you have this instead of sky?  For the very technically minded ‘yes’, as there will be lots of future maintenance to be considered every time sky changes any channels, moves them by frequency, deletes them or installs new ones, all things that happen frequently and involve reprogramming the box, (if you know all the details/numbers involved)

For the rest, the answer should be ‘never’ or you will be paying a technician to be with you very often, thus expensive television. Plus you can never use a sky card with this equipment to get more channels.

The official sky ‘digibox’ works all automatically in these situations, thus no engineer required, plus you can fit any sky card at any time to watch more tv.

What is DVBT?

Dvbt stands for ‘digital video broadcasting, terrestrial’ or in laymans terms, digital tv received through the normal rooftop television aerial, known in britain as digital ‘freeview’.

Which due to the extreme distance from the transmitters in britain is not available as such here in southern spain.

Yet the spanish have now developed the same type of technology for themselves and have been transmitting the spanish ‘freeview’ for some time now.

Spanish television has gone digital, with at the moment 23 channels freely transmitted, and received with little more than a decent aerial and a ‘set-top’ digital box.
